66 Recognizing and commending Linda J. Davidson upon her retirement; and for other

99 WHEREAS, Linda J. Davidson joined the Alzheimer's Association as the executive director3
1010 of the Georgia Chapter in June 2017, and she has since demonstrated exceptional leadership4
1111 in donor management and team development as well as served as a driving force behind the5
1212 organization's growth; and6
1313 WHEREAS, the Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in7
1414 Alzheimer's care, support, and research as well as the voice for Alzheimer's disease8
1515 advocacy, fighting for critical care initiatives at the state and federal level; and9
1616 WHEREAS, Linda's expertise has proven invaluable in growing the reach and services of10
1717 the Alzheimer's Association for the more than 150,000 Georgia residents living with11
1818 Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia; and12
1919 WHEREAS, prior to her position with the Alzheimer's Association, Linda diligently worked13
2020 with United Way and Catholic Social Services as well as served as the senior director of14
2121 Relay For Life for the American Cancer Association; and15

2424 WHEREAS, Linda's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience

2626 and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state17
2727 have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and18
2828 WHEREAS, she has served the Alzheimer's Association with honor and distinction, and her19
2929 vision and unyielding commitment to operational excellence will be sorely missed upon the20
3030 occasion of her retirement; and21
3131 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22
3232 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.23
3333 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body24
3434 recognize and commend Linda J. Davidson for her decades of exemplary service,25
3535 congratulate her upon the grand occasion of her retirement, and extend the most sincere best26
3636 wishes for continued health and happiness.27
3737 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed28
3838 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Linda J. Davidson.29
