Senate Resolution 129

A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February 10, 2025, as Blue and White Day at the state capitol; and for other

purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, continue to exemplify the3
high ideals of their Distinguished Founders' belief of Culture for Service and Service for4
Humanity with 56 active chapters throughout the great State of Georgia; and 5
WHEREAS, the Georgia chapters of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., continuously strive to6
improve the communities they work and reside in by establishing service projects designed7
to eliminate physical and mental health inequities, mobilize and educate voters, and empower8
a previously marginalized citizenry; and 9
WHEREAS, the Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, a community conscious,10
action-oriented organization, continue to fulfill the vision of their Founders with 60 active11
chapters throughout the great State of Georgia; and12
WHEREAS, the Georgia chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., fervently strive to improve13
their communities by establishing projects and programs that advocate for social well-being,14
mental and physical health, and economic justice; and15

WHEREAS, the Georgia chapters of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta

Sorority, Inc., continue to build on their rich legacy of shared purpose for the benefit of17
improved service to the communities we reside in.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19
recognize February 10, 2025, as Blue and White Day at the state capitol; commend the20
combined efforts of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.; and21
extend the most sincere best wishes for future success.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23
to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Phi Beta Sigma24
Fraternity, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.25
