88 WHEREAS, Donald J. Trump was re-elected on November 5, 2024, winning the electoral2
99 and popular vote, as the 47th President of the United States, the second candidate in3
1010 American history to be elected to the office in two non-consecutive terms, gaining the4
1111 confidence of millions of American voters; and5
1212 WHEREAS, President Trump has appointed and nominated a record number of women,6
1313 minorities, and individuals from a wide range of backgrounds to key leadership positions,7
1414 including appointing the first female White House Chief of Staff and youngest White House8
1515 Press Secretary in history; and9
1616 WHEREAS, President Trump has made several key commitments in line with his America10
1717 First agenda, to include sealing the United States border, keeping our communities safe,11
1818 ending high inflation, extending American worker tax cuts, and establishing America as a12
1919 dominant energy producer in the world; and13

2222 WHEREAS, in his first term, his pro-growth, pro-worker economic policies fueled

2424 unprecedented GDP growth, lower taxes for individuals and businesses, affordable prices for15
2525 consumers, and technological innovation whilst eliminating burdensome regulations; and16
2626 WHEREAS, he led the United States into energy independence for the first time in decades17
2727 with initiatives such as opening federal lands to oil and gas exploration, approving the18
2828 Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, and ending undue reliance on foreign energy19
2929 sources; and20
3030 WHEREAS, President Trump appointed over 200 federal judges, including 54 federal21
3131 appellate judges and three Supreme Court justices—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and22
3232 Amy Coney Barrett—whose decisions will shape the legal landscape for generations; today,23
3333 more than a quarter of active federal court judges are Trump appointees; and24
3434 WHEREAS, he adopted a "peace through strength" approach to foreign policy to restore25
3535 international American leadership, hold our adversaries accountable at the United Nations,26
3636 and bring peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords; and27
3737 WHEREAS, President Trump has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to restoring28
3838 American sovereignty and ending the abuse of our immigration system by implementing the29
3939 "Remain in Mexico" policy, constructing over 450 miles of new border wall, and cracking30
4040 down on illegal sanctuary cities.31
4141 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body32
4242 commend the 45th and 47th President of the United States Donald J. Trump for his33
4343 re-election and successful conservative policies as well as extend their best wishes for his34
4444 continued leadership.35
