A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Charles Tamlin Hall Jr.; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2
with the passing of Charles Tamlin Hall Jr. on January 20, 2025; and3
WHEREAS, Charles Tamlin Hall Jr. was born on July 10, 1950, a beloved son of Tamlin and4
Mary Nell Hall; and5
WHEREAS, a proud alumnus of the University of Georgia (UGA), he was a lifelong fan of6
the Georgia Bulldogs and served as President of the UGA College of Agricultural and7
Environmental Sciences Alumni Association Board of Directors; and8
WHEREAS, he further served as Founder and President/CEO of Association Services Group9
(ASG) of LaGrange, Georgia, from 1995 to 2021, which was recognized many times as one10
of the fastest growing companies in Georgia; and11
WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Charles Tamlin Hall Jr. was an active member12
of First Baptist Church on the Square, where he served as a Deacon, Greeter, and Usher for13

over three decades and participated in the Friday Morning Bible Study Group, which he

attended for 45 years; and15
WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Jan, and was blessed with two16
remarkable children, Emily and Tamlin, as well as six wonderful grandchildren, Bethany,17
Hannah, Conner, Addison, Brock, and Hendrix; and18
WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern19
for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his20
family and friends were admired by others; and21
WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation22
for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he23
made this world a better place in which to live; and24
WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Charles Tamlin Hall Jr. will long be25
remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who26
had the great fortune of knowing him.27
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body28
join in honoring the life and memory of Charles Tamlin Hall Jr. and express their deepest and29
most sincere regret at his passing.30
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed31
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of32
Charles Tamlin Hall Jr.33
