| 10 | 10 | | & Environmental Health & Sustainability Awards; and5 |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America and the United6 |

| 12 | 12 | | States Conference of Mayors presented the award during the 93rd Winter Meeting of the7 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | United States Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C.; and8 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, the Georgia Beverage Association and the American Beverage Association9 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | have a long history of supporting programs that address childhood obesity, environmental10 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | health, and sustainability by encouraging community members to engage in healthier11 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | behaviors; and12 |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, the City of Savannah was selected for its innovative approach to health and13 |

| 19 | 19 | | wellness, as exemplified by its Mayor on the Move: Healthy Savannah Kids Club program;14 |

| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, the Mayor on the Move: Healthy Savannah Kids Club is a passport-based |

| 25 | 25 | | program featuring activities across seven health domains: social, emotional, physical,17 |

| 26 | 26 | | intellectual, environmental, spiritual, and financial; and18 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, the program's target audience of middle school students and their families will19 |

| 28 | 28 | | receive a Healthy Savannah Kids Club passport, which provides opportunities to support the20 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | whole child's health and development, with pages designated for passport stamps earned21 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | through participation in activities.22 |

| 31 | 31 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 |

| 32 | 32 | | commend the City of Savannah and Mayor Van R. Johnson for their outstanding24 |

| 33 | 33 | | achievement in developing the Mayor on the Move: Healthy Savannah Kids Club initiative25 |
