ADOPTED SENATE
A RESOLUTION
Commending President Donald J. Trump; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, President Donald J. Trump was inaugurated January 20, 2025, following the2
2024 Presidential Election, winning the electoral and popular vote, as the 47th President of3
the United States, the second candidate in American history to be elected to the office in two4
non-consecutive terms, gaining the confidence of millions of American voters; and5
WHEREAS, President Trump has appointed and nominated a record number of women,6
minorities, and individuals from a wide range of backgrounds to key leadership positions,7
including appointing the first female White House Chief of Staff and youngest White House8
Press Secretary in history; and9
WHEREAS, President Trump has made several key commitments in line with his America10
First agenda, to include sealing the United States border, keeping our communities safe,11
ending high inflation, extending American worker tax cuts, and making America the leading12
energy producer in the world; and13
WHEREAS, within hours of taking the oath of office, President Trump began delivering on14
his promises to the American people with a series of memorandums and executive orders,15

including but not limited to enhancing border security and targeting dangerous cartels as
16
terrorist organizations, mandating that United States foreign policy be aligned with core17
American interests, addressing the increased cost-of-living, and ending the weaponization18
of the federal government towards United States citizens; and19
WHEREAS, in his first term as President, he led the United States into energy independence20
for the first time in decades with initiatives like opening federal lands to oil and gas21
exploration, approving the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, and ending undue22
reliance on foreign energy sources; and23
WHEREAS, President Trump appointed over 200 federal judges, including 54 federal24
appellate judges and three Supreme Court justices—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and25
Amy Coney Barrett—whose decisions will shape the legal landscape for generations; today,26
more than a quarter of active federal court judges are Trump appointees; and27
WHEREAS, he adopted a "peace through strength" approach to foreign policy to restore28
international American leadership, hold our adversaries accountable at the United Nations,29
and bring peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords; and30
WHEREAS, the President has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to restoring31
American sovereignty and ending the abuse of our immigration system through the32
implementation of the "Remain in Mexico" policy, the construction over 450 miles of new33
border wall, and cracking down on illegal sanctuary cities.34
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body35
commend the 45th and 47th President of the United States Donald J. Trump for his36

re-election and successful conservative policies and extend their best wishes for his
37
continued leadership.38
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed39
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to President Donald40
J. Trump.41
