98 WHEREAS, President Donald J. Trump was inaugurated January 20, 2025, following the2
109 2024 Presidential Election, winning the electoral and popular vote, as the 47th President of3
1110 the United States, the second candidate in American history to be elected to the office in two4
1211 non-consecutive terms, gaining the confidence of millions of American voters; and5
1312 WHEREAS, President Trump has appointed and nominated a record number of women,6
1413 minorities, and individuals from a wide range of backgrounds to key leadership positions,7
1514 including appointing the first female White House Chief of Staff and youngest White House8
1615 Press Secretary in history; and9
1716 WHEREAS, President Trump has made several key commitments in line with his America10
1817 First agenda, to include sealing the United States border, keeping our communities safe,11
1918 ending high inflation, extending American worker tax cuts, and making America the leading12
2019 energy producer in the world; and13
2120 WHEREAS, within hours of taking the oath of office, President Trump began delivering on14
2221 his promises to the American people with a series of memorandums and executive orders,15

2524 including but not limited to enhancing border security and targeting dangerous cartels as

2726 terrorist organizations, mandating that United States foreign policy be aligned with core17
2827 American interests, addressing the increased cost-of-living, and ending the weaponization18
2928 of the federal government towards United States citizens; and19
3029 WHEREAS, in his first term as President, he led the United States into energy independence20
3130 for the first time in decades with initiatives like opening federal lands to oil and gas21
3231 exploration, approving the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, and ending undue22
3332 reliance on foreign energy sources; and23
3433 WHEREAS, President Trump appointed over 200 federal judges, including 54 federal24
3534 appellate judges and three Supreme Court justices—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and25
3635 Amy Coney Barrett—whose decisions will shape the legal landscape for generations; today,26
3736 more than a quarter of active federal court judges are Trump appointees; and27
3837 WHEREAS, he adopted a "peace through strength" approach to foreign policy to restore28
3938 international American leadership, hold our adversaries accountable at the United Nations,29
4039 and bring peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords; and30
4140 WHEREAS, the President has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to restoring31
4241 American sovereignty and ending the abuse of our immigration system through the32
4342 implementation of the "Remain in Mexico" policy, the construction over 450 miles of new33
4443 border wall, and cracking down on illegal sanctuary cities.34
4544 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body35
4645 commend the 45th and 47th President of the United States Donald J. Trump for his36

4948 re-election and successful conservative policies and extend their best wishes for his

5150 continued leadership.38
5251 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed39
5352 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to President Donald40
