| 9 | 9 | | with the passing of Ms. Catherine Ann Smith on February 25, 2025; and3 |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Catherine Ann Smith was born on May 29, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, a4 |

| 11 | 11 | | beloved daughter of Dr. Warren L. Smith and Ann Schwartz Smith; and5 |

| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, she learned the art of political organizing from her mother, who turned their6 |

| 13 | 13 | | basement into a call center for the Democratic Party; and7 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Catherine Ann Smith shared her knowledge with thousands of budding8 |

| 15 | 15 | | activists and organizers in both Michigan and Georgia, dedicating countless hours, energy,9 |

| 16 | 16 | | and resources to improving her community through the Democratic Party and progressive10 |
