| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, rooted in environmental stewardship and economic empowerment, Arabia4 |

| 11 | 11 | | Mountain Vineyard provides hands-on learning, workforce development, and opportunities5 |

| 12 | 12 | | for small businesses and local entrepreneurs to flourish; and6 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, the vineyard actively supports local schools, charities, and cultural events,7 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | enhancing the lives of residents of DeKalb, Rockdale, and Henry counties; and8 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Arabia Mountain Vineyard has introduced more than 1,500 students to hands-9 |

| 16 | 16 | | on agricultural experiences, inspiring future generations of agriculturalists and environmental10 |

| 17 | 17 | | stewards as well as fostering a love for the environment, sustainable farming, and11 |
|---|

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, the vineyard stimulates the local economy by providing opportunities in13 |

| 20 | 20 | | agriculture, hospitality, and event planning as well as by serving as a training ground for14 |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, by prioritizing organic farming, Arabia Mountain Vineyard has reduced17 |

| 27 | 27 | | pesticide waste by 90 percent, significantly improving soil health, water quality, and18 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | biodiversity; and19 |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, vineyards can sequester up to 1.5 metric tons of carbon per acre annually,20 |

| 30 | 30 | | contributing to climate change mitigation and clean air for local communities; and 21 |

| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Arabia Mountain Vineyard's cover crops improve soil fertility, reduce erosion,22 |

| 32 | 32 | | enhance water retention, and foster an environment where native species thrive; and23 |

| 33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, as Arabia Mountain Vineyard contributes significantly to the educational24 |

| 34 | 34 | | enrichment, economic empowerment, and cultural preservation of the DeKalb, Rockdale, and25 |

| 35 | 35 | | Henry counties it is abundantly fitting and proper that its contributions are honored; and26 |

| 36 | 36 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body27 |

| 37 | 37 | | recognize Arabia Mountain Vineyard for cultivating a lasting legacy of growth and28 |

| 38 | 38 | | prosperity that blends nature, culture, and community.29 |

| 39 | 39 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed30 |
