| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, born on July 21, 1975, in Miami, Florida, Patrick Michael Sondron was the3 |

| 9 | 9 | | cherished son of Michael and Patricia Sondron; and4 |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, following his graduation from Orange Park High School in 1993, Sergeant5 |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Sondron enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a guardian of this6 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | nation's freedom and liberty; and7 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, he continued to serve his community through a career in law enforcement,8 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | starting his career in 1999 with the Fort Valley Police Department, adeptly serving on the9 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Byron Police Department, and dedicating 13 years to the Peach County Sheriff's Office,10 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | where he was a sergeant for the patrol division and a member of the SWAT team; and11 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Sergeant Sondron was highly regarded by the citizens of his community and12 |

| 18 | 18 | | state and by local government officials as a person of unquestioned integrity and dedication13 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | to the sound principles of law enforcement; and14 |

| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, a dedicated public servant, a respected partner in law enforcement, and a kind, |

| 25 | 25 | | community, and his loss deeply affected the citizens of Peach County; and17 |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Sergeant Sondron exhibited extraordinary devotion to public service,18 |

| 27 | 27 | | outstanding loyalty, fine leadership, and meticulous attention to detail in all of his duties, and19 |

| 28 | 28 | | it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be20 |

| 29 | 29 | | recognized appropriately by dedicating a bridge in his memory.21 |

| 30 | 30 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED BY THE GENERAL22 |

| 31 | 31 | | ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that the bridge on State Route 49 over Interstate 75 (Exit 149)23 |

| 32 | 32 | | in Peach County is dedicated as the Sgt. Patrick Sondron Memorial Bridge.24 |

| 33 | 33 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation is authorized and25 |

| 34 | 34 | | directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs dedicating the Sgt. Patrick Sondron26 |

| 36 | 36 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed28 |
