A RESOLUTION
Commending the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. and the 100 Black Men of

America Inc. and recognizing March 25, 2025, as their Joint Day at the Georgia State2
Capitol; and for other purposes.3
WHEREAS, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. (NCBW100) and the 1004
Black Men of America Inc. are two of the nation's most esteemed advocacy and mentorship5
organizations, committed to advancing equity, education, and economic empowerment for6
African Americans; and7
WHEREAS, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., under the esteemed leadership8
of National President Virginia Harris, has dedicated itself to empowering Black women and9
girls through education, health, economic development, and civic engagement through its10
Georgia-based chapters, including the Decatur DeKalb Chapter, MECCA Chapter,11
Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter, Northwest Georgia Chapter, Savannah Chapter, and Stone12
Mountain Lithonia Chapter; and13
WHEREAS, the Stone Mountain Lithonia Chapter of NCBW100 is serving as the host14
chapter for this occasion with Cecilia Anderson as its president and under the leadership of15

Dr. Dee Dawkins-Haigler as the chair of the event, with Teresa Hardy and Frieda Aiden

serving as co-chairs; and17
WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of America Inc., led by Chairman of the Board Milton H.18
Jones Jr., has made an immeasurable impact in mentoring and uplifting young African19
American men through its Georgia-based chapters, including the 100 Black Men of Albany20
Southwest Georgia Inc.; 100 Black Men of Atlanta Inc.; 100 Black Men of Augusta Inc.; 10021
Black Men of Columbus, GA, Inc.; 100 Black Men of DeKalb Inc.; 100 Black Men of22
Douglasville Inc.; 100 Black Men of Macon-Middle Inc.; 100 Black Men of23
Milledgeville-Oconee Inc.; 100 Black Men of New Rock Georgia Inc.; 100 Black Men of24
North Metro Inc.; 100 Black Men of Rome-NW GA Inc.; 100 Black Men of Savannah Inc.;25
100 Black Men of South Metro Inc.; 100 Black Men of Southeast GA Inc.; 100 Black Men26
of Valdosta Inc.; 100 Black Men of Warner Robins Inc.; and 100 Black Men of West27

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body29
commend the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. and the 100 Black Men of30
America Inc. for their continued dedication and invaluable contributions and recognize31
March 25, 2025, as their Joint Day at the Georgia State Capitol.32
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed33
to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Virginia Harris,34
National President of NCBW100; Milton H. Jones Jr., Chairman of the Board of 100 Black35
Men of America Inc.; and the Stone Mountain Lithonia Chapter of NCBW100.36
