77 WHEREAS, known as the "Prison Dr.," Myron Fountain has dedicated his life to mentoring2
88 at-risk youth and steering them toward positive behavioral change through comprehensive3
99 mentorship programs; and4
1010 WHEREAS, having served over 20 years in prison due to a conviction at the age of 19,5
1111 Myron Fountain took the opportunity to reform himself through self-help programs, martial6
1212 arts training, and education, emerging with a deep commitment to guiding young individuals7
1313 away from incarceration; and8
1414 WHEREAS, originally from Detroit, Michigan, Myron Fountain first established his9
1515 mentorship work in his home town, incorporating a nonprofit in 2018 before relocating to10
1616 Georgia in 2020 to start fresh in Atlanta; and11
1717 WHEREAS, through his nonprofit, The Prison Dr., Myron Fountain provides direct12
1818 intervention services, including house calls, customized mentorship plans, and follow-up13
1919 support, to ensure lasting personal transformation among troubled youth; and14

2222 WHEREAS, his mentorship programs have positively influenced the lives of more than 100

2424 young individuals in metro Atlanta, building on his prior work mentoring around 300 youths16
2525 in Detroit; and17
2626 WHEREAS, The Prison Dr.'s corrective mentorship programs address the root causes of18
2727 rebellious and aggressive behavior, boasting an 80 percent success rate and leading to19
2828 significant improvements in self-esteem, increased academic retention, and reduced20
2929 involvement with the justice system; and21
3030 WHEREAS, Myron Fountain's work is grounded in a philosophy of personal responsibility,22
3131 parental engagement, and spiritual accountability, emphasizing the importance of strong23
3232 guidance and community support in shaping the future of young people; and24
3333 WHEREAS, his unwavering dedication to youth mentorship and intervention continues to25
3434 make a profound impact in metro Atlanta, offering guidance, discipline, and hope to those26
3535 at risk of being lost to the criminal justice system.27
3636 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body28
3737 commend Myron Fountain, the "Prison Dr.," for his exceptional efforts in mentoring and29
3838 transforming the lives of at-risk youth and extend best wishes for his continued success.30
3939 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed31
4040 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Myron Fountain.32
