A RESOLUTION
Recognizing January 28, 2025, as Gwinnett Chamber Day at the state capitol; and for other

purposes.2
WHEREAS, established in 1947, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce has championed the3
needs and interests of businesses within Gwinnett County, Georgia, for more than 77 years;4
and5
WHEREAS, the chamber currently serves more than 2,000 members and represents more6
than 22,000 businesses and 10,000 sole proprietors in Gwinnett County, which is home to7
nearly 600 international businesses; and8
WHEREAS, the chamber has earned a five-star accreditation from the United States9
Chamber of Commerce, the highest designation achievable in the chamber industry10
nationwide; and11
WHEREAS, on August 1, 2023, the chamber was awarded the Association of Chamber of12
Commerce Executives "Chamber of the Year" designation, the first time the chamber has13
received this honor; and14

WHEREAS, the chamber further maintains Memorandum of Understanding agreements with

11 bi-lateral chambers in metro Atlanta; and16
WHEREAS, as additional testament to its dedication to excellence, 2025 represents the first17
full year of service for the chamber's newly renovated $6 million three-story facility, which18
preserves the legacy of its original construction while providing Gwinnett County with a19
modernized hub for business; and20
WHEREAS, under the guidance of its current leadership, including President and CEO Nick21
Masino, Senior Vice Presidents Alicia Krogh and Lisa Sherman, Vice President of Public22
Policy and External Affairs Paul Oh, prior Chair Lanier Levett, Chair Elect Kim Hartsock,23
Chair of the Public Policy Advisory Committee Trey Ragsdale, and Chair Brad Carr, the24
Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce continues to exemplify excellence in fostering economic25
growth and advocating for the business community; and26
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this27
extraordinary chamber be appropriately recognized.28
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body29
recognize January 28, 2025, as Gwinnett Chamber Day at the state capitol and extend best30
wishes for the continued growth, development, and success of the Gwinnett Chamber of31
Commerce.32
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed33
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Gwinnett34
Chamber of Commerce.35
