| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Reinhardt University was founded in 1883 and has provided 142 years of3 |

| 10 | 10 | | educational service in Georgia; and4 |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, the University is a top producer of public school teachers and leaders in5 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Cherokee County; and6 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, the University boasts graduating top performing students in the nursing7 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | profession, with a 93 percent NCLEX pass rate compared to the national average of 768 |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, the University has made significant contributions to law enforcement leadership10 |

| 17 | 17 | | through offering a high quality online criminal justice degree since 2013, an MPA in law11 |

| 18 | 18 | | enforcement leadership, and is the only private college in Georgia to offer a Mandate Police12 |

| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, the University has contributed greatly to the cultural life of Northwest Georgia16 |

| 26 | 26 | | by bringing professional performances to the Falany Performing Arts Center and Flint Hall;17 |

| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, the University has demonstrated a commitment to keeping the history of19 |

| 29 | 29 | | Georgia settlers and native Cherokee communities alive through the Funk Heritage Museum20 |

| 31 | 31 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body22 |
