66 Honoring the life and memory of Allison Adassa Foderingham; and for other purposes.

88 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2
99 with the passing of Allison Adassa Foderingham on January 10, 2025; and3
1010 WHEREAS, Allison Adassa Foderingham was born on March 1, 1925, in James Hill,4
1111 Clarendon, Jamaica, a beloved daughter of Alfred and Louise Richards; and5
1212 WHEREAS, she attended James Hill Primary School, became part of the first graduating6
1313 class of Clarendon College in Jamaica, and later earned a master's degree in education with7
1414 a certificate in guidance and counseling from Western Carolina University in 1977; and8
1515 WHEREAS, she dedicated 51 years of superlative service to her exemplary teaching career,9
1616 which culminated in her final role as the director of the G.E.D./H.S. Program at The Fulton10
1717 Atlanta Community Action Authority in Atlanta, Georgia; and11
1818 WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, she was an active member of The Episcopal12
1919 Church of the Holy Cross, where she was a dedicated member of several groups including13
2020 the Episcopal Church Women and Daughters of the King; and14

2323 WHEREAS, she was united in love and marriage to her husband, Noel, and was blessed with

2525 five remarkable children, Monica, Winsome, Ann Marie, Joan, and Andrew; six wonderful16
2626 grandchildren, Camille, Monique, Jheanelle, Jacqui, Jordan, and Janayah; and two17
2727 outstanding great-grandchildren, Dylan and Elijah; and18
2828 WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern19
2929 for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she demonstrated to20
3030 her family and friends were admired by others; and21
3131 WHEREAS, she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation22
3232 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she made of her life,23
3333 she made this world a better place in which to live; and24
3434 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Allison Adassa Foderingham will long25
3535 be remembered for her love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all26
3636 who had the great fortune of knowing her.27
3737 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body28
3838 join in honoring the life and memory of Allison Adassa Foderingham and express their29
3939 deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.30
4040 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed31
4141 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of32
4242 Allison Adassa Foderingham.33
