1212 before leaving journalism in 1991 to write fiction; and6
1313 WHEREAS, Mary Kay Andrews is the New York Times bestselling author of 30 novels,7

2929 WHEREAS, her Georgia-based novels have promoted the state and Southern culture to the20
3030 world, having been published in German, Italian, Polish, Slovenian, Hungarian, Dutch,21
3131 Czech, and Japanese; and22
3232 WHEREAS, she and her family divide their time between Atlanta and Tybee Island, Georgia,23
3333 where they enjoy cooking up new recipes in three restored beach homes—The Breeze Inn,24
3434 Ebbtide, and Coquina Cottage—all named after fictional places in Mary Kay Andrews'25
3535 novels and available for rent through Tybee Vacation Rentals; and26

4747 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body

4949 recognize and commend Kathy Hogan Trocheck, also known worldwide as Mary Kay37
5050 Andrews, for her many outstanding accomplishments and extend best wishes for continued38
5151 health and happiness.39
5252 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed40
