43	43	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $28,182,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2021-2022 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the thirty-first representative district, as follows: 1. Aiea elementary school, Oahu Design and construction for campus-wide covered walkways; ground and site improvements. Design $100,000 Construction $900,000 Total funding $1,000,000 The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education. 2. Aiea high school, Oahu Design for the renovation of C building room 1 and 2 for a new state-of-the-art culinary program. Design $100,000 Total funding $100,000 The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education. 3. Aiea high school, Oahu Design for a new multipurpose room in the cafeteria. Design $100,000 Total funding $100,000 The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education. 4. Aiea intermediate school, Oahu Plans, design, and construction for the expansion of the fire land/access road. Plans $25,000 Design $10,000 Construction $500,000 Total funding $535,000 The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education. 5. Aiea intermediate school, Oahu Plans, design, construction, and equipment for a cover or roof over the basketball, volleyball, and tennis court area. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2024, shall lapse as of that date.
