47- SECTION 1. (a) The superintendent of education, or the superintendent's designee, shall serve as the summer learning coordinator for the department of education and shall coordinate all school based summer programs for children, including but not limited to public summer school, e-school summer program, 21st Century Community Learning Centers' summer program, UPLINK summer program, A+ summer program, Credit Recovery summer program, alternative learning summer programs, and other schoolbased summer programs. (b) The summer learning coordinator shall work with the department of human services to leverage federal funds. SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
