BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: THE SENATE S.B. NO. 3198 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE, 2022 STATE OF HAWAII THE SENATE S.B. NO. 3198 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE, 2022 STATE OF HAWAII A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to capital improvement projects benefitING AGRICULTURE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $954,960 or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the purpose of capital improvement projects, as follows: 1. Ulu Cooperative A. Construction of refrigerated packing room, including a conventional refrigeration system. Plans $9,200 Construction $46,000 Total funding $55,200 B. Construction of receiving building with scales, including an in-pit commercial scale, ethylene scrubber, and inline water cooler. Plans $67,360 Construction $336,800 Total funding $404,160 C. Construction of enlarged kitchen area, including an industrial batch 9-truck steamer. Plans $82,600 Construction $413,000 Total funding $495,600 SECTION 2. The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriations are made; provided that all moneys from the appropriations that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2024, shall lapse as of that date. SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the department of agriculture for the purposes of this Act. SECTION 4.
