43	43	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

47	47	SECTION 1. The legislature finds that Hawaii's manufacturing industry is a critical part of the State's economy. The Hawaii small business innovation research program, manufacturing assistance grant program, and excelerator grant program offered by the Hawaii technology development corporation help fund and support the State's manufacturing businesses. Accordingly, the purpose of this Act is to appropriate moneys to the Hawaii technology development corporation for its manufacturing assistance programs. SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $10,000,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the Hawaii small business innovation research program. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act. SECTION 3. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $2,000,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the manufacturing assistance grant program. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act. SECTION 4. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $2,000,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 to support the excelerator grant program. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act. SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2022.
