4343 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

47- SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to abolish the native Hawaiian rights fund of the office of Hawaiian affairs, pursuant to the recommendation made by the auditor in auditor's report no. 22‑02, and to transfer any unencumbered balance to the general fund. SECTION 2. The native Hawaiian rights fund, administratively established in 1987, is abolished and any unencumbered balance shall lapse to the credit of the general fund. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2023.
