A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR SCHOOLS IN THE EIGHTEENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2023-2024: 1. Henry J. Kaiser High School, Oahu A. Network infrastructure and unified communications including indoor and outdoor paging systems, and a telephone system Construction $1,505,000 Total funding $1,505,000 B. Performing arts and visual arts complex Design $1,800,000 Construction $35,000,000 Power and Equipment $5,200,000 Total funding $42,000,000 C. Modernize swimming pool stadium Construction $1,600,000 Total funding $1,600,000 D. Erosion control at Kaiser Stadium West light towers and fencing and softball and baseball venues Construction $2,500,000 E. Install hand rails on Kaiser Stadium bleachers Construction $600,000 2. Hahaione Elementary School, Oahu A. Covered play court Design $900,000 Construction $2,100,000 Total funding $3,000,000 B. Heat abatement and air-conditioning improvements for forty classrooms. Design $200,000 Construction $800,000 Total funding $1,000,000 C. All weather fitness trail Design $500,000 Construction $1,500,000 Total funding $2,000,000 3. Kamiloiki Elementary School, Oahu A. Replacement of the playground equipment for two playground areas Construction $400,000 Total funding $400,000 B. Installation of air conditioning units for classrooms Total funding $600,000 SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act. SECTION 3.
