4747 SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to appropriate funds for capital improvement projects in the eleventh senatorial district. SECTION 2. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $56,088,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2023-2024 for the purpose of financing capital improvement projects for the eleventh senatorial district, as follows: To be expended by the department of education: 1. Hokulani elementary school A. Construction and equipment to repaint the exterior of each building. Construction $20,000 Equipment $50,000 Total funding $70,000 B. Construction and equipment to repave the parking lot and driveway. Construction $ 5,000 Equipment $30,000 Total funding $35,000 C. Construction and equipment to replace the playground equipment behind C building. Construction $ 5,000 Equipment $20,000 Total funding $25,000 D. Plans, design, construction, and equipment to install an elevator to make the library accessible, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Construction and equipment for renovating and rebuilding the music facility for band, orchestra, hula, and general music classes, with soundproofing between learning spaces. Division of forestry and wildlife baseyard fencing, Oahu Construction for the installation of fencing abutting the division of forestry and wildlife Oahu baseyard between the Hawaii Nature Center and 2260 Makiki Heights Drive. Construction $500,000 Total funding $500,000 SECTION 3. The appropriations made by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2026, shall lapse as of that date. SECTION 4. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 2 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act. SECTION 5.
