43	43		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

47		-	SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to~~: (1)~~ Reclassify or abolish certain non-general funds of the department of budget and finance, pursuant to the recommendations made by the auditor in auditor's report no. 24-01, and to transfer any unencumbered balance of an abolished fund to the general fund~~; and (2) Transfer to the general fund the excess balances of various non-general funds from various state departments and agencies~~. SECTION 2. The temporary deposits--budget and finance trust account, administratively established prior to 1980, shall be reclassified as a trust account. SECTION 3. The temporary deposits--budget and finance financial administration division trust account, administratively established in 2021, is abolished and any unencumbered balance shall lapse to the credit of the general fund. SECTION 4. The legislature determines that there are amounts in excess of the requirements of various non-general funds. The director of finance is authorized to transfer or abolish the following funds or amounts or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 from the following funds to the general fund: (1) ; and (2) . SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect on July 1, ~~3000~~.
