43	43	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $35,125,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the forty-eighth representative district, as follows: 1. Governor Samuel Wilder King intermediate school, Oahu Design and construction for gym improvements to address termites in floors, broken bleachers, and broken basketball hoops. Design $60,000 Construction $450,000 Total funding $510,000 The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education. 2. Governor Samuel Wilder King intermediate school, Oahu Design and construction for landscaping improvements to address tree overgrowth next to neighboring properties. Design $60,000 Construction $500,000 Total funding $560,000 The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education. 3. Heeia elementary school, Oahu Design and construction for covered walkway to connect building D to P1, P2, and P3. Design $45,000 Construction $250,000 Total funding $295,000 The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education. 4. James B. Castle high school, Oahu Design and construction for agricultural farm expansion to accommodate increased ideas into farm education. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2026, shall lapse as of that date.
