A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 26, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§26- Boards and commissions; absence of chairperson; assumption of authority and duties; prohibition. No staff member of a board or commission shall assume the duties of the chairperson of the board or commission in the chairperson's absence." SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2112.
