Chapter 163D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part I to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§163D- Advisory board; workforce development. (a) There shall be established an advisory board to the corporation. The advisory board shall focus on workforce development for the agricultural industry. (b) The advisory board shall consist of the following members: (1) The director of labor and industrial relations, or the director's designee; (2) The superintendent of education, or the superintendent's designee; (3) The vice president for community colleges for the university of Hawaii, or the vice president's designee; (4) A representative of a non-profit organization founded by Hawaii farmers and ranchers that works with organizations, communities, and individuals involved in the agricultural industry in Hawaii, or the representative's designee, who shall be invited by the governor to participate; and (5) Three individuals with appropriate experience, who shall be appointed by the governor, and whose terms shall end at the end of each gubernatorial term; provided that the governor may reappoint any member serving pursuant to this paragraph; provided further that nongovernmental members shall be invited by the governor to participate. (c) The advisory board shall meet as often as practicable, but no less than once per . (d) The appointed members of the advisory board shall serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for expenses, including travel expenses, necessary for the performance of their duties." (a) There shall be established an advisory board to the development corporation. The advisory board shall focus on workforce development for the technology industry. (b) The advisory board shall consist of the following members: (1) The director of labor and industrial relations, or the director's designee; (2) The superintendent of education, or the superintendent's designee; (3) The vice president for community colleges for the university of Hawaii, or the vice president's designee; and (4) Three individuals with appropriate experience, who shall be appointed by the governor, and whose terms shall end at the end of each gubernatorial term; provided that the governor may reappoint any member serving pursuant to this paragraph; provided further that nongovernmental members shall be invited by the governor to participate. (c) The advisory board shall meet as often as practicable, but no less than once per . (c) The advisory board shall meet as often as practicable, but no less than once per .
