A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to: (1) Authorize data collection on vehicle registration to be conducted by the director of finance; and (2) Require all data collected to be incorporated into the registration database. SECTION 2. (a) The director of finance may develop means to identify additional data about vehicle registration, including but not limited to approximate original value of each make or model vehicle in the database based on original manufacturer's suggested retail price, sale price, or other similar information. (b) The information collected by the director of finance shall be incorporated into the registration database. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
