H.F. _____ Section 1. PSYCHIATRIC MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS FOR CHILDREN 1 MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT RATE. Beginning January 1, 2025, 2 the department of health and human services shall implement 3 a tiered rate reimbursement methodology under the Medicaid 4 program for psychiatric medical institutions for children, as 5 that term is defined in section 135H.1, based on the level of 6 patient acuity. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanations substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill requires that beginning January 1, 2025, the 11 department of health and human services shall implement a 12 tiered rate reimbursement methodology under the Medicaid 13 program for psychiatric medical institutions for children based 14 on the level of patient acuity. 15 -1- LSB 5260YC (3) 90 pf/ko 1/ 1
