Section 124.204, subsection 4, paragraphs s and 1 t, Code 2025, are amended by striking the paragraphs. 2 EXPLANATION 3 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 4 the explanations substance by the members of the general assembly. 5 This bill removes psilocybin and psilocyn from the list of 6 substances classified as schedule I controlled substances under 7 Iowas uniform controlled substances Act (Code chapter 124). 8 Under Code section 124.203, a substance that has a high 9 potential for abuse and has no accepted medical use in 10 treatment in the United States or lacks accepted safety for use 11 in treatment under medical supervision may be classified as a 12 schedule I controlled substance under Code chapter 124. 13 -1- LSB 2053YH (3) 91 as/js 1/ 1
