H.F. 390 Section 1. Section 237A.5, subsection 1, Code 2025, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 1. a. All personnel in licensed or registered child care 3 facilities shall have good health as evidenced by a report 4 following a preemployment physical examination taken . 5 b. An individual shall have received an initial physical 6 examination within the six months prior to beginning 7 immediately preceding the date the individual begins 8 employment , or within the six months immediately following the 9 date the individual begins employment . The 10 c. A physical examination shall include communicable disease 11 tests performed by a licensed physician as defined in section 12 135C.1 , or by a licensed physician assistant as defined in 13 section 148C.1 and . 14 d. Licensed or registered facility personnel shall be 15 repeated receive a physical examination under this subsection 16 at least once every three years after the date of the 17 individuals initial employment physical examination under 18 paragraph b . 19 e.
