1212 1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
1313 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1414 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1515 4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
1616 5 changing Sections 6-901 and 6-911 as follows:

1818 7 Sec. 6-901. Definitions. For the purposes of this Article:
1919 8 "Board" means the Driver's License Medical Advisory Board.
2020 9 "Immediate family member" means a parent, sibling, child
2121 10 by blood or adoption, stepchild, spouse, grandparent, or
2222 11 grandchild.
2323 12 "Medical examiner" or "medical practitioner" means:
2424 13 (i) any person licensed to practice medicine in all
2525 14 its branches in the State of Illinois or any other state;
2626 15 (ii) a licensed physician assistant; or
2727 16 (iii) a licensed advanced practice registered nurse.

7070 1 attorney, immediate family member, or member of the judiciary
7171 2 acting in his or her official capacity may submit information
7272 3 to the Secretary relative to the medical condition of a
7373 4 person, including suspected chronic alcoholism or habitual use
7474 5 of narcotics or dangerous drugs, if the condition interferes
7575 6 with the person's ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.
7676 7 Persons reporting under this Section shall enjoy the same
7777 8 immunities granted members of the Board under Section 6-910.
