                    103RD GENERAL ASSEMBLY State of Illinois 2023 and 2024 HB1207 Introduced , by Rep. Jonathan Carroll SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:  20 ILCS 2605/2605-625 new  Amends the Illinois State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Illinois State Police shall implement a mental health support program for law enforcement officers who are suffering post-traumatic stress disorder. Provides that the program shall consist of guidelines for personalized care, physical exercise including yoga and aerobic exercises, improvement of posture, group therapy standards, improving flexibility, and restoring confidence, and guidelines to maintain confidentiality of information concerning officers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and prevent that information from being included in the officer's personnel file. 1  AN ACT concerning State government.
2  Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3  represented in the General Assembly:
4  Section 5. The Illinois State Police Law of the Civil
5  Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section
6  2605-625 as follows:
7  (20 ILCS 2605/2605-625 new)
8  Sec. 2605-625. Mental health support program
9  implementation. The Illinois State Police shall implement a
10  mental health support program for law enforcement officers who
11  are suffering post-traumatic stress disorder. The program
12  shall consist of guidelines for personalized care, physical
13  exercise including yoga and aerobic exercises, improvement of
14  posture, group therapy standards, improving flexibility, and
15  restoring confidence, and guidelines to maintain
16  confidentiality of information concerning officers suffering
17  from post-traumatic stress disorder and prevent that
18  information from being included in the officer's personnel
19  file.
