The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business 5 Practices Act is amended by adding Section 2BBBB as follows: 6 (815 ILCS 505/2BBBB new) 7 Sec. 2BBBB. Use of credit cards when providing health care 8 services. 9 (a) As used in this Section: 10 "Health care professional" means a physician, registered 11 professional nurse, or other individual appropriately licensed 12 or registered to provide health care services. 13 "Health care provider" means any physician, hospital 14 facility, facility licensed under the Home Nursing Care Act, 15 long-term care facility as defined in Section 1-113 of the 16 Nursing Home Care Act, or other person that is appropriately 17 licensed or registered to provide health care services. 18 "Health care provider" does not include independent practice 19 associations or physician-hospital organizations. 20 "Patient" means the individual who is receiving health 21 care services from the health care professional or health care 22 provider and any individual who is the guarantor of the 23 payment for such services. 103RD GENERAL ASSEMBLY State of Illinois 2023 and 2024 HB1281 Introduced , by Rep.
