1111 1 AN ACT concerning child care.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Child
1515 5 Care Reimbursement Program Act.
1616 6 Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
1717 7 "Child care service" means a service that provides for
1818 8 the care, health, safety, and supervision of a child's
1919 9 social, emotional, and educational growth.
2020 10 "Child care worker" means a person who provides care,
2121 11 supervision, or instruction to a child within the scope of
2222 12 the person's employment at a day care center.
2323 13 "Day care center" has the meaning ascribed to that
2424 14 term in Section 2.09 of the Child Care Act of 1969.
2525 15 Section 10. Child Care Reimbursement Program. The
2626 16 Department of Human Services shall establish a Child Care
2727 17 Reimbursement Program to make reimbursements to child care
2828 18 workers for any amounts they paid for child care services
2929 19 provided to their children aged 5 or younger at a day care
3030 20 center. Eligible child care workers shall claim reimbursements
3131 21 on forms and through a process prescribed by the Department.
3232 22 The Department may adopt any rules necessary to implement the
