| 12 | 12 | | 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| 14 | 14 | | 4 Section 5. The Joint Airports Act is amended by changing |

| 15 | 15 | | 5 Section 1 as follows: |

| 17 | 17 | | 7 Sec. 1. Any county or any municipality within the the |

| 18 | 18 | | 8 county may, under the "Intergovernmental Cooperation Act", |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 9 approved September 11, 1973, as now or hereafter amended, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 10 enter into an agreement with other counties or municipalities, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 11 or both, to jointly establish and operate an airport and its |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 12 facilities. The Intergovernmental Agreement shall be effective |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 13 upon its execution by the corporate authorities of each county |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 14 or municipality that is a party to the agreement and shall |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 15 continue in effect until terminated as provided in Section 5 |
