4		-	AN ACT concerning property.
5		-	Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
6		-	represented in the General Assembly:
7		-	Section 5. Property. The Director of Corrections, on
8		-	behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to execute and
9		-	deliver to the City of Crest Hill, for and in consideration of
10		-	$1 paid to the Department of Corrections, a quit claim deed to
11		-	the following described real property:
12		-	That part of the East half of the Northeast quarter of
13		-	Section thirty two (32), lying North of the right of the
14		-	way of the Joliet, Aurora and Northern Railway Company,
15		-	now the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Company,
16		-	excepting therefrom a strip of land twenty four (24) feet
17		-	in width off the West side thereof, containing in said
18		-	tract hereby conveyed twenty five (25) acres, more or
19		-	less.
20		-	Section 10. Conveyance.
21		-	(a) Upon the payment of the sum of $1 to the Department of
22		-	Corrections, and subject to the conditions set forth in
23		-	subsection (b), the Director of Corrections, on behalf of the
24		-	State of Illinois and the Department of Corrections, shall
25		-	convey by quit claim deed all right, title, and interest of the

	22	+	20 subsection (b), the Director of Corrections, on behalf of the
	23	+	21 State of Illinois and the Department of Corrections, shall

32		-	State of Illinois and the Department of Corrections in and to
33		-	the real property described in Section 5 to the City of Crest
34		-	Hill.
35		-	(b) The conveyance of real property authorized by Section
36		-	5 shall be made subject to existing public utilities, existing
37		-	public roads, and any and all reservations, easements,
38		-	encumbrances, covenants, and restrictions of record.
39		-	(c) The quit claim deed to the City of Crest Hill shall
40		-	state on its face and be subject to the conditions that the
41		-	real property shall be used by the City of Crest Hill for a
42		-	Lake Michigan water receiving station and other public
43		-	purposes, and that if the real property is used for any other
44		-	purposes, or if an attempt is made to sell the property, then
45		-	title shall revert without further action to the State of
46		-	Illinois.
47		-	Section 15. Recording. The Director of Corrections shall
48		-	prepare one or more quit claim deeds to convey the real
49		-	property. The Director may also record a certified copy of
50		-	this Act. Each quit claim deed shall reference this Act and
51		-	contain the reversionary language from subsection (c) of
52		-	Section 10. All documents of conveyance shall be recorded in
53		-	the county in which the land is located.
54		-	Section 20. "An Act concerning land", approved May 27,
55		-	2022, Public Act 102-1015, is amended by changing Section 1-10

	33	+	1 State of Illinois and the Department of Corrections in and to
	34	+	2 the real property described in Section 5 to the City of Crest
	35	+	3 Hill.
	36	+	4 (b) The conveyance of real property authorized by Section

	40	+	8 (c) The quit claim deed to the City of Crest Hill shall

65		-	the real property ceases to be used for public purposes, it
66		-	shall revert to the State of Illinois, Department of Natural
67		-	Resources Corrections.
