21 | 21 | | 11 Juvenile Division of the Department of Corrections. Personnel, |

22 | 22 | | 12 books, records, property, and unencumbered appropriations |

23 | 23 | | 13 pertaining to the Juvenile Division of the Department of |

24 | 24 | | 14 Corrections shall be transferred to the Department of Juvenile |

25 | 25 | | 15 Justice on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the |

26 | 26 | | 16 94th General Assembly. Any rights of employees or the State |

77 | 77 | | 10 in this subsection (b) are not required of persons who provide |
---|
78 | 78 | | 11 vocational training and who have adequate knowledge in the |
---|
79 | 79 | | 12 skill for which they are providing the vocational training. |

80 | 80 | | 13 (c) Subsection (b) of this Section does not apply to |
---|
81 | 81 | | 14 personnel transferred to the Department of Juvenile Justice on |
---|
82 | 82 | | 15 the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th General |
---|
83 | 83 | | 16 Assembly. |
---|
84 | 84 | | 17 (d) The Department shall be under the direction of the |
---|
85 | 85 | | 18 Director of Juvenile Justice as provided in this Code. |
---|
86 | 86 | | 19 (e) The Director shall organize divisions within the |
---|
87 | 87 | | 20 Department and shall assign functions, powers, duties, and |
---|
88 | 88 | | 21 personnel as required by law. The Director may create other |
---|
89 | 89 | | 22 divisions and may assign other functions, powers, duties, and |
---|
90 | 90 | | 23 personnel as may be necessary or desirable to carry out the |
---|
91 | 91 | | 24 functions and responsibilities vested by law in the |
---|
92 | 92 | | 25 Department. The Director may, with the approval of the Office |

116 | 116 | | 13 (f) The Department of Juvenile Justice may enter into |

117 | 117 | | 14 intergovernmental cooperation agreements under which minors |

118 | 118 | | 15 adjudicated delinquent and committed to the Department of |
---|
119 | 119 | | 16 Juvenile Justice may participate in county juvenile impact |
---|
120 | 120 | | 17 incarceration programs established under Section 3-6039 of the |
---|
121 | 121 | | 18 Counties Code. |

122 | 122 | | 19 (g) The Department of Juvenile Justice must comply with |
---|
123 | 123 | | 20 the ethnic and racial background data collection procedures |
---|
124 | 124 | | 21 provided in Section 4.5 of the Criminal Identification Act. |

125 | 125 | | 22 (h) The Department of Juvenile Justice shall implement a |

126 | 126 | | 23 wellness program to support health and wellbeing among staff |
