1111 1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
1515 5 adding Section 5-47 as follows:
1616 6 (305 ILCS 5/5-47 new)
1717 7 Sec. 5-47. Long-acting reversible contraception. The
1818 8 Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall adopt
1919 9 policies and rates for long-acting reversible contraception by
2020 10 January 1, 2024 to ensure that reimbursement is not less than
2121 11 actual acquisition cost. The Department shall submit any
2222 12 necessary application to the federal Centers for Medicare and
2323 13 Medicaid Services for the purposes of implementing such
2424 14 policies and rates.
2525 15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
2626 16 becoming law.
