1111 1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Pharmacy Practice Act is amended by
1515 5 changing Section 8 as follows:

1818 8 Sec. 8. Licensure by endorsement; emergency licensure. The
1919 9 The Department may, in its discretion, license as a
2020 10 pharmacist, without examination, on payment of the required
2121 11 fee, an applicant who is so licensed under the laws of another
2222 12 U.S. jurisdiction or another country, if the requirements for
2323 13 licensure in the other jurisdiction in which the applicant was
2424 14 licensed, were, at the date of his or her licensure deemed by
2525 15 the Board to be substantially equivalent to the requirements
2626 16 then in force in this State.
2727 17 A person holding an active, unencumbered license in good
2828 18 standing in another jurisdiction who applies for a license
2929 19 pursuant to Section 7 of this Act due to a natural disaster or
3030 20 catastrophic event in another jurisdiction may be temporarily
3131 21 authorized by the Secretary to practice pharmacy pending the
3232 22 issuance of the license. This temporary authorization shall
3333 23 expire upon issuance of the license or upon notification that

6969 2 Upon a declared Executive Order due to an emergency caused
