19 | 19 | | 9 The Department may, in its discretion, license as a |

20 | 20 | | 10 pharmacist, without examination, on payment of the required |
---|
21 | 21 | | 11 fee, an applicant who is so licensed under the laws of another |
---|
22 | 22 | | 12 U.S. jurisdiction or another country, if the requirements for |
---|
23 | 23 | | 13 licensure in the other jurisdiction in which the applicant was |
---|
24 | 24 | | 14 licensed, were, at the date of his or her licensure deemed by |
---|
25 | 25 | | 15 the Board to be substantially equivalent to the requirements |
---|
26 | 26 | | 16 then in force in this State. |

27 | 27 | | 17 A person holding an active, unencumbered license in good |
---|
28 | 28 | | 18 standing in another jurisdiction who applies for a license |

29 | 29 | | 19 pursuant to Section 7 of this Act due to a natural disaster or |

30 | 30 | | 20 catastrophic event in another jurisdiction may be temporarily |

31 | 31 | | 21 authorized by the Secretary to practice pharmacy pending the |

32 | 32 | | 22 issuance of the license. This temporary authorization shall |
