11	11	1 AN ACT concerning health.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
15	15	5 Thyroid Guard Act.
16	16	6 Section 5. Definition. In this Act, "health care facility"
17	17	7 has the same meaning provided in Section 3 of the Health Care
18	18	8 Right of Conscience Act.
19	19	9 Section 10. X-rays; thyroid guard. Notwithstanding any
20	20	10 other provision of law, a health care facility that conducts
21	21	11 x-ray imaging must have a thyroid guard available and require
22	22	12 personnel conducting the x-ray imaging to give a patient the
23	23	13 option of using it, unless the thyroid guard would directly
24	24	14 interfere with the ability of the personnel to obtain the
25	25	15 x-ray imaging that was ordered.
