Anna Moeller SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED: 305 ILCS 5/12-4.57 new Amends the Administration Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that beginning July 1, 2023, and each State fiscal year thereafter, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall increase the Prospective Payment System rates for federally qualified health centers by $100,000,000 using an alternative payment method acceptable to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and a trade association representing a majority of federally qualified health centers operating in Illinois, including a rate increase that is an equal percentage increase to the rates paid to each federally qualified health center. 11	11	1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
15	15	5 adding Section 12-4.57 as follows:
16	16	6 (305 ILCS 5/12-4.57 new)
17	17	7 Sec. 12-4.57. Prospective Payment System rates; increase
18	18	8 for federally qualified health centers. Beginning July 1,
19	19	9 2023, and each State fiscal year thereafter, the Department of
20	20	10 Healthcare and Family Services shall increase the Prospective
21	21	11 Payment System rates for federally qualified health centers by
22	22	12 $100,000,000 using an alternative payment method acceptable to
23	23	13 the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and a trade
24	24	14 association representing a majority of federally qualified
25	25	15 health centers operating in Illinois, including a rate
26	26	16 increase that is an equal percentage increase to the rates
27	27	17 paid to each federally qualified health center.
28	28	18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
