1 AN ACT concerning health.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by adding
5 Section 6.34 as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 85/6.34 new)
7 Sec. 6.34. Posting charity care policy, financial
8 counselor. A hospital that receives a property tax exemption
9 under Section 15-86 of the Property Tax Code must post the
10 hospital's charity care policy and the contact information of
11 a financial counselor in a reasonably viewable area in the
12 hospital's emergency room.
