Jehan Gordon -Booth SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED: Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, as follows: General Funds $220,833,600 Other State Funds $ 1,267,000 Total $222,100,600 OMB103 00137 MJH 45137 b HB2669 OMB103 00137 MJH 45137 b AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2 in the General Assembly: 3 ARTICLE 1 4 Section 5. The amount of $2 15,140,200, or so much thereof 5 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education 6 Assistance Fund to the Board of T rustees of Southern Illinois 7 University to meet its operational expenses for the fiscal year 8 ending June 30, 2024. 9 Section 10. The sum of $62,800, or so much thereof as may 10 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 11 the Southern Illinois University for any costs associated with 12 the Daily Egyptian Newspaper. 13 Section 15. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as 14 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 15 to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois Universit y for 16 costs associated with the National Corn -to-Ethanol Research 17 Center and ethanol research grants. 18 Section 20. The sum of $1, 130,600, or so much thereof as 19 HB2669 -2- OMB103 00137 MJH 45137 b may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance 1 Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University 2 for all costs associated with the Simmons Cooper Cancer Center. 3 Section 25. The sum of $17,000, or so much thereof as may 4 be necessary, is appropriated from the State College and 5 University Trust Fund to the Board of Tru stees of Southern 6 Illinois University for scholarship grant awards. 7 Section 30. The sum of $1,250,000, or so much thereof as 8 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Professions 9 Dedicated Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois 10 University for all costs associated with the development, 11 support or administration of pharmacy practice education or 12 training programs at the Edwardsville campus. 13 Section 35. The sum of $3,500,000, or so much thereof as 14 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 15 to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for 16 all costs associated with programming at the formerly 17 Lindenwood Campus in Bell eville. 18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 19 2023. 20
