  AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1 
 
  Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2 
in the General Assembly:  3 
 
ARTICLE 1 4 
 
  Section 1.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof 5 
as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated for the 6 
ordinary and contingent expe nses of the Office of the State 7

be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 21 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for costs and expenses 22 
related to or in support of the Fire Explorer and Cadet School. 23

  Section 10.  The sum of $ 4,000,000, or so much thereof as 1 
may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund 2 
to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for grants for the 3 
Small Equipment Grant Program. 4 
 
  Section 15.  The sum of $700,000, or so much thereof as may 5 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 6 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for all co sts associated 7 
with the Minimum Basic Firefighter Training Program. 8 
 
  Section 20.  The sum of $ 75,000, or so much thereof as may 9 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 10 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for all costs associated 11 
with the Illinois Firefighter Peer Support Program. 12 
 
  Section 25.  The sum of $70,000, or so much thereof as may 13 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 14 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for all costs associated 15 
with the Community Risk Reduction Program. 16 
 
  Section 30.  The sum of $380,000, or so much thereof as may 17 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 18 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for all costs associated 19 
with the Firefighter Online Traini ng Management System. 20

  Section 35.  The sum of $2,500,000, or so much thereof as 1 
may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund 2 
to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for all costs associated 3 
with the renovation and rehabilitation of th e Fire Museum 4 
Building located on the State Fairgrounds in Springfield. 5 
 
  Section 40.  The sum of $75,000, or so much thereof as may 6 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Fire Fighters’ 7 
Memorial Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for 8 
expenses related to the Maintenance and Rehabilitation of the 9 
Fire Museum Building and Museum Artifacts. 10 
 
  Section 45.  The sum of $ 300,000, or so much thereof as may 11 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Fire Fighters’ 12 
Memorial Fund to the Offic e of the State Fire Marshal for all 13 
costs associated with the Medal of Honor Ceremony, Scholarships 14 
and Firefighter Memorial Maintenance. 15 
 
  Section 50.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof 16 
as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the 17 
Office of the State Fire Marshal as follows: 18 
Payable from the Fire Prevention Fund: 19 
 For Expenses of Senior Officer Training .............55,000 20 
 For Expenses of the Cornerstone Program .............450,000 21

  Section 60.  The sum of $500, or so much thereof as may be 20 
necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to the 21 
Office of the State Fire Marshal for grants available for the 22

  Section 65.  The sum of $ 200,000, or so much thereof as may 1 
be necessary, is appropriated fro m the Fire Prevention Fund to 2 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for grants available for 3 
costs and services related to ILEAS/MABAS administration. 4 
 
  Section 70.  The sum of $10,000, or so much thereof as may 5 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 6 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for a grant to the 7 
Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Reimbursement. 8 
 
  Section 75.  The sum of $550,000, or so much thereof as may 9 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Underground Storage Tank 10 
Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for a grant to the 11 
City of Chicago for administrative costs incurred as a result 12 
of the State’s Underground Storage Tank Program. 13 
 
  Section 80.  The sum of $5,000, or so much thereof as may 14 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 15 
the Office of the State Fire Marshal for Diversity, Equity and 16 
Inclusion curriculum development for fire service training. 17 
 
  Section 85.  The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as may 18 
be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund to 19

Fire Service Institute for research activities. 1 
 
  Section 90.  The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as 2 
may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund 3 
to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for the Fire Station 4 
Rehabilitation and Construction Grant Program. 5 
 
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 6 
2023. 7
