Jehan Gordon -Booth SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED: Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Human Rights for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, as follows: General Funds $17,232,400 Other State Funds $ 5,600,000 Federal Funds $ 4,794,800 Total $27,627,200 OMB103 00025 TGT 45025 b HB2700 OMB103 00025 TGT 45025 b AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2 in the General Assembly: 3 ARTICLE 1 4 Section 1. The sum of $1 6,082,400, or so much thereof as 5 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 6 to the Department of Human Rights for operational expenses of 7 the Department. 8 Section 5. The sum of $525,000, or so much thereof as may 9 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 10 the Department of Human Rights for costs associated with 11 employer and employee training programs. 12 Section 10. The sum of $ 625,000, or so much thereof as may 13 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 14 the Department of Human Rights for costs associated with the 15 Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes. 16 Section 15. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as may 17 be necessary, is appropriated from the Department of Human 18 Rights Training and Development Fund to the Department of Human 19 HB2700 -2- OMB103 00025 TGT 45025 b Rights for the purpose of funding expenses associated with 1 administration. 2 Section 20. The sum of $4,794,800, or so much thereof as 3 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Special Projects 4 Division Fund to the Department of Human Rights for operational 5 expenses of the Department. 6 Section 25. The sum of $500,000, or so much thereof as may 7 be necessary, is appropriated from the Department of Human 8 Rights Special Fund to the Department of Human Rights for the 9 purpose of filing expenses associated with the Department of 10 Human Rights. 11 Section 30. The sum of $5,000,000, o r so much thereof as 12 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Hate Crimes and Bias 13 Incident Prevention and Response Fund to the Department of 14 Human Rights for grants and administrative expenses associated 15 with the eradication of hate crimes and bias inci dents. 16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 17 2023. 18
