12	12	1 AN ACT concerning State government.
13	13	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
14	14	3 represented in the General Assembly:
15	15	4 Section 5. The Personnel Code is amended by changing
16	16	5 Section 4c as follows:
17	17	6 (20 ILCS 415/4c) (from Ch. 127, par. 63b104c)
18	18	7 Sec. 4c. General exemptions. The following positions in
19	19	8 State service shall be exempt from jurisdictions A, B, and C,
20	20	9 unless the jurisdictions shall be extended as provided in this
21	21	10 Act:
22	22	11 (1) All officers elected by the people.
23	23	12 (2) All positions under the Lieutenant Governor,
24	24	13 Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Comptroller,
25	25	14 State Board of Education, Clerk of the Supreme Court,
26	26	15 Attorney General, and State Board of Elections.
27	27	16 (3) Judges, and officers and employees of the courts,
28	28	17 and notaries public.
29	29	18 (4) All officers and employees of the Illinois General
30	30	19 Assembly, all employees of legislative commissions, all
31	31	20 officers and employees of the Illinois Legislative
32	32	21 Reference Bureau and the Legislative Printing Unit.

34	34	23 Illinois State Guard, paid from federal funds or positions
