1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Massage Licensing Act is amended by
5 changing Section 67 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 57/67)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027)
8 Sec. 67. Continuing education. The Department shall adopt
9 rules for continuing education for persons licensed under this
10 Act that require a completion of 25 24 hours of approved
11 continuing education per license renewal period. For each
12 license renewal period, one hour of continuing education shall
13 be domestic violence and sexual assault awareness education as
14 prescribed by rule of the Department. The one-hour domestic
15 violence and sexual assault awareness continuing education
16 course shall be provided by a continuing education provider
17 approved by the Department. The Department may adopt rules
18 regarding the requirements for domestic violence and sexual
19 assault awareness continuing education courses and teachers.
20 The Department shall establish by rule a means for the
21 verification of completion of the continuing education
22 required by this Section. This verification may be
23 accomplished through audits of records maintained by the

1 licensee, by requiring the filing of continuing education
2 certificates with the Department, or by other means
3 established by the Department.
