1 AN ACT concerning finance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Grant Accountability and Transparency Act
5 is amended by adding Section 135 as follows:

7 Sec. 135. Financial assistance alerts. As soon as
8 practicable after the effective date of this amendatory Act of
9 the 103rd General Assembly, the Governor's Office of
10 Management and Budget shall provide for alerts by email to be
11 provided to the public upon the posting of new funding
12 opportunities on the Catalog of State Financial Assistance as
13 maintained on the website of the Governor's Office of
14 Management and Budget. Persons seeking to be alerted to the
15 posting of new funding opportunities may do so by providing an
16 email address to which such information may be sent. The
17 Governor's Office of Management and Budget shall also make
18 available electronically a monthly digest of funding
19 opportunities utilizing the information required to be made
20 available in the Catalog of State Financial Assistance for
21 funding opportunities.
22 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
