SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $40,000,000, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Arts
Council for the award of grants for arts-based after school
programs in communities with a median household income that is
less than or equal to 125% of the federal poverty level
according to the United States Census Bureau . Effective July
1, 2023.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The sum of $40,000,000, or so much thereof as 4
may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 5
to the Illinois Arts Council for the award of grants to arts-6
based after school pro grams in communities with a median 7
household income that is less than or equal to 125% of the 8
federal poverty level according to the United States Census 9
Bureau. 10
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 11
2023. 12
